Forgot

I just wanted to mention that I finally recently weaned Danial. He was still eating from me twice a day and we went cold turkey. I did this by leaving Daniel in Rexburg with his grandparents for four days. When he saw me again I didn't get a hug or anything affectionate - he just wanted a "nip." I think weaning him is on my top ten hardest things I have ever done. That night he screamed the whole night. I was really tempted to just give him some, but I was strong.

Something interesting is that a couple weeks before that my hormones totally changed. I think my body has just figured out that I am not pregnant anymore!

I am excited for so many cousins to be pregnant again, and I am excited to have another little one myself, but I think we are going to wait a good six months to try again. I want half a year of "non-pregnant" time.

New posts

So, I guess by blogging is a feast or famine thing. You have to scroll nearly all the way down to see all of the new posts I posted today. Here is some catch up on the family:

Daniel: His favorite foods are yogurt, mac-n-cheese, rice a roni, peaches, and corn. He enjoys doing things like mom and dad. Recently he has been WALKING up and down the stairs all by himself. He enjoys learning how to eat with a fork all by himself. He likes to be clean - when his hands are dirty he shows me like immediately so I will remidy the situation. His favorite show is DEFINATELY Thomas and Friends (the train). He loves pushing things around with wheels. He likes to find ways to be silly - that is the best way I can explain it, and he laughs a lot when he is being silly. He gives kisses when you say "kisses." He is extra tender most of the time, but when he is mean he is REALLY mean (he pinches me, hits me - we are working on changing that). Most of the time he is very obedient - when he plays in the driveway he is good about not going into the street (now that I have disciplined him by putting him in his saucer when he went in the street before). The saucer is his most common form of discipline. We tell him, "you are going into the saucer if you keep doing that." Often he stops whatever it is when we say that. It is kinda funny cause the saucer is supposed to be a place to play.

Me: gee, not much is new for me. I have been teaching about nutrition and fitness at Enrichment, which has really been a lot of fun! It is taking three months of Enrichments to get through all of the material cause there have been lots of questions - I am glad people feel comfortable to ask questions, cause we have had a lot of neat discussions. I love enrichment - I learn so many neat things and get all kinds of neat recipes that I wouldn't otherwise find, like canning recipes (of stew, etc.) and recipes to use powerdered milk, and much more. I am also very happy to announce that I have become a good house keeper! :) Yay! A dishwasher makes an incredible difference!! And, our house is so beautiful when it is clean- I want to see it look beautiful. I don't spend as much time on the computer cause I spend more time cleaning, knitting, and reading. I am reading 1984 by George Orwell and just finished Animal Farm by the same author. I also like reading anything by Glenn Beck. Next I would like to read The 5000 Year Leap by W. Cleon Skousen.

Ben: Still enjoying his job. We are REALLY REALLY grateful for this job in these trying economic times!! His job is truly stable. During these times we could not count on any company to not go under or majorly downsize or sales to go down, etc. But where he is working for the Federal Government under the power administration - that job is there till people don't use power anymore. We have also had lots of fun going to garage sales - have found lots of wonderful things for really cheap. Maybe at the end of the summer I will do a post of the best things we have found.

FHE

For FHE we went to the park, and had a lot of fun!

Daniel got adventurous this time and climbed on stuff more.

Daddy had fun too :)

Playing with the rocks is his FAVORITE! So, I just had to capture it.

Playin around

Ben and I LOVE to play board games, and we own several. This is one of our newest additions (Ben got for his birthday) called Agricola

This is Ben's board. It was an amazing game for him - he got TONS of points. We couldn't resist taking a picture - I know, we are nerds!

Daniel after drinking some fruit smoothy that I made. It kind of reminds me of my dad in his wedding pictures. LOL

Playin with great Grandpa

Ben's mom's dad had a good time playin with "little D"

We finally wen to Cabela's, which recently opened here in Billings. It was a fun family outing. We signed up for their credit card and got free hats and $15 to use each - we are going to use it to get Ben's hunting liscence. He has never hunted before, but always wanted to - he is really excited. He is for sure going to do pheasant and turkey.

I couldn't get a shot of him wearing the hat. The camera takes to long to shoot the picture - SAD!

Some random pictures

Ben's cousin - ok so I can't remember his name at the moment. I will edit this post when I find out

Ben's parents recently got this chair from some renters. It is so cute and the perfect size for Daniel.

He is getting good at drinking a regular cup all by himself. He would even walk around holding it with one hand - luckily there was only water in it.

Playing with Bubbles!

the anticipation

Ben's sister got married and there were bubbles at the wedding luncheon. Daniel was bored so we cracked open the bubbles and was quite a hit among the little ones. Ben's cousin Michelle's kids joined in.

4-Wheelin with Grandpa

Daniel looks pretty anxious in these pictures, but he actually LOVES riding!! I just didn't capture any good shots. This isn't the first time he has riden on the 4-wheeler - last time we visited he threw a fit when we took him off!
